A colourful, contemporary take on a classic Shaker style kitchen in an Edwardian family home in Upminster. Our clients had a real love for colour and pattern, but they were stuck on how to bring the kitchen to life – and as the first stage of renovations, they wanted this room to set the tone for the rest of the house.

We chose a kitchen by deVOL – renowned for their simple style and quality craftsmanship – but updated it with a rich, bespoke green colour. For an even more striking effect, all the walls were painted in the same shade of green, which paired perfectly with the rich tones of the owners’ antique furniture collection and the original floorboards. Geometric black and white tiles further enliven the room.
